Director of Nursing

Director of Nursing at Cedarhurst Senior Living provides strategic leadership and day-to-day management of all clinical operations within the community. Reports to the Executive Director and oversees the entire clinical team (nurses, resident assistants, CNAs, medication technicians) to ensure safe, high-quality, person-centered care in alignment with state and federal regulations and organizational policies. Leads development and implementation of individualized service plans, drives compliance and quality assurance, manages regulatory readiness, and engages with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, and retaining a high-performing resident care team; conducts service plan meetings with residents and families; communicates with surveyors during IDPH surveys; implements ISPs and infection control policies; ensures CLIA waiver compliance; manages nursing inventory and supplies; supports occupancy goals while prioritizing resident well-being. Qualifications include nursing licensure, leadership, regulatory knowledge, and proficiency with EHR and MS Office tools. This role requires collaboration across departments to promote resident dignity, independence, and safety, with an emphasis on staff development and continuous learning. The position is located in Omaha, NE and is an on-site leadership role within the Cedarhurst community.
