Job Summary
Provide leadership to nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, ensuring adherence to established policies and standards of care. Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer and executive team to develop strategic goals and quality improvement initiatives. Oversee resident care plans, treatment protocols, and nursing interventions while monitoring care delivery, outcomes, and staff performance to implement corrective actions. Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate nursing staff to foster a culture of excellence. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing nursing practice and accreditation standards. Manage the nursing department budget, resources, and supplies to optimize efficiency. Stay informed about healthcare regulations and industry trends to advocate for nursing interests and implement best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting
- Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in geriatric nursing, long-term care, and rehabilitation services
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of strategic planning, organizational development, and performance improvement
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, quality assurance processes, and accreditation standards applicable to skilled nursing facilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to resident-centered care, compassion, and professionalism
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and Microsoft Office applications
