Job Summary
Lead the nursing team in delivering resident-centered care while ensuring regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and team engagement across all nursing services. Manage strategic and operational leadership for nursing services, including crisis management, difficult conversations, and fostering a positive workplace culture. Maintain an active, unencumbered RN license in Ohio and oversee MDS charting, government/DOH survey requirements, and proficiency with systems like PCC, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Requires 1-3 years of supervisory experience as a Director of Nursing, ADON, or Unit Manager (5 years preferred), with long-term care experience strongly preferred. Schedule includes 1st shift with occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered RN license in the State of Ohio
- Minimum 1-3 years of supervisory experience as a Director of Nursing, ADON, Unit Manager, or similar
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to manage in crisis situation
- Ability to navigate difficult conversations with diplomacy and empathy
- Proficient computer skills: PCC, Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, Government agencies, as well as system/use specific programs
Desired Qualifications
- 5 years preferred supervisory experience
- Long Term Care Experience
- In-depth knowledge of MDS and Medical charting capability
- Proven knowledge of government/DOH requirements for Survey compliance
