Job Summary
Director of Nursing Cardiovascular Services leads the assigned cardiovascular departments with 24-hour responsibility, providing strategic direction, supervision, mentorship, and quality improvement focused on patient and staff satisfaction. Oversees administrative, financial, and clinical activities, collaborates with physicians, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives performance and quality initiatives in a large hospital system with Level 1 trauma, stroke center, and extensive subspecialty groups.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or within 2 years
- Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing
- Certification in clinical specialty or nursing administration
- LVAD/VAD
- ECMO
- Minimum of five (or 3-5) years’ clinical nursing experience, of which 2 years must have been in a management capacity
