Job Summary
Direct and oversee nursing services within the facility, defining and maintaining nursing practice standards, assessing care quality, developing policies and procedures, verifying credentials, supervising staff, recruiting and retaining personnel, collaborating with other departments for optimal patient care, planning and directing staffing and resource budgets, managing infection prevention and control programs, evaluating cost-effectiveness of staffing, representing nursing matters to professional organizations, and participating in committees and resident relations.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- CPR certification (30 days to complete)
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal or written instructions in English
- Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to work flexibly with intermittent interruptions
- Preferred: 2 years nurse management experience in long term care/skilled nursing
