Job Summary
Director of Nursing (DON) leading the skilled nursing team at Butterfield Trail Village in Northwest Arkansas. Responsible for strategic and operational leadership of nursing services, mentoring and developing a high-performing team of nurses and nursing assistants, ensuring resident-centered care and optimal clinical outcomes, maintaining CMS/state regulatory compliance, overseeing staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management, and driving quality improvement, infection prevention, and survey readiness initiatives. Collaborates with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to foster accountability, teamwork, and compassion. Requires current Arkansas RN license and a BSN (MSN preferred) with at least 5 years of nursing leadership experience in long-term care or related settings; prior DON experience and familiarity with EHRs and quality reporting are advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Current Arkansas RN license
- Minimum 5 years of nursing leadership experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or senior living
- BSN required; MSN preferred
- Previous Director of Nursing experience
- Long-Term Care or Nursing Administration certification would be a bonus
- Experience with electronic health records and quality reporting systems
