Job Summary
Director of Nursing (DON) responsible for the overall clinical leadership, quality, and nursing operations of the Home Health Agency. Provides direct supervision of field clinicians and ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, survey readiness, and clinical outcomes. Leads development and implementation of policies and procedures, maintains clinical compliance, and supports staff development. Oversees clinical leadership, quality improvement, staffing, orientation, competency programs, and performance management; ensures safety and effectiveness of patient care, with accountability to the Administrator. Requires nursing degree and active RN license; strong knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation and Joint Commission standards; experience with OASIS and clinical quality measures; leadership across interdisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license in good standing
- Home Health experience required
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards
- Experience with OASIS and clinical quality measures
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams
