Job Summary
Assume 24-hour administrative responsibility for the management of all Behavioral Health Program functions, supervising, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of patient care. Develop and implement programmatic plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current regulations, while supervising and evaluating all personnel assigned to the program. Communicate with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally to integrate Behavioral Health Services into the continuum of care. Maintain a current Registered Nurse Licensure, BLS certificate, and working knowledge of mental health laws and practice standards.
Required Qualifications
- current and valid Registered Nurse Licensure
- Bachelor's degree
- at least 2 years' experience in psychiatric nursing providing care to the mentally ill
- minimum of two (2) years management experience with Behavioral Health Care programs
- BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- working knowledge of mental health laws and practice standards
- knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health treatment
- excellent verbal, written, and management skills
