Job Summary
Director of Nursing for Auburn Crest Hospice leads an interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate hospice care. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, delivering and supervising direct clinical services; supervising RN Case Managers, LPNs, CNAs, Chaplains, and MSWs; overseeing the IDT process and quality of care coordination; promoting compliance; mentoring and training staff; overseeing the QAPI program; evaluating referrals; coordinating contracted services; and maintaining a positive work environment to achieve patient and family satisfaction. Requires RN license in the state of employment, a bachelor’s degree (preferred), minimum two years nursing management experience, valid driver’s license, and ability to work irregular hours with occasional travel. Knowledge of Medicare COP and Joint Commission requirements is expected; Certifications in Hospice and Palliative Nursing are a plus. Documentation, leadership, and communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse licensed in the state of employment
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business, or other related field (preferred)
- Minimum of two (2) years nursing management experience (preferably in Home Health/Hospice)
- Must have a valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance
