Job Summary
Director of Nursing and Quality Assurance provides interim DON leadership across multiple skilled nursing facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuity of clinical oversight. Leads nursing operations, staff development, survey readiness, and quality improvement initiatives; travels 75% within the East Region to support centers, stabilize clinical performance, and partner with Regional Nursing and Operations leaders to align with organizational standards and priorities. Requires an RN with five+ years in long-term/acute care, CPR certification, and proven leadership in geriatric or restorative care; role emphasizes hands-on clinical leadership, risk assessment, and adherence to regulatory standards to drive safe, effective patient care across facilities.
Required Qualifications
- RN Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university
- Current, active, and unencumbered RN license in the assigned state(s)
- Minimum of five (5) years of management or supervisory experience in long-term care or acute care settings
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays and extended assignments at multiple facilities
