Job Summary
Director of Nursing managing a SNF in Nanticoke, PA. Responsibilities include interviewing/admission of residents, admission assessments and care planning, evaluating care outcomes and coordinating treatments, ensuring resident safety, budgeting for Nursing, coordinating care with physicians and other disciplines, staffing needs assessment and recruitment of nursing personnel, staff orientation, daily rounds, policy compliance, confidentiality of resident information, resident rights, quality of care and infection control committee coordination, policy/manual updates, and provision of education and tours for prospective residents when Social Services unavailable. Requires PA RN license, a Bachelor’s degree, prior DON experience in long-term care, LTC experience, CPR, strong clinical background, and valid PA driver’s license; leadership and communication skills essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must have current Pennsylvania RN license
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must have prior experience as a Director of Nursing in a long-term care setting
- Must have long term care/nursing home experience
- CPR certification
- Must have strong clinical background
- Valid Pennsylvania drivers’ license
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent leadership skills
