Job Summary

Verify quality care for residents based on individual plans of care and assessments. Coordinate nursing staff to provide proper resident care consistent with standard practices while overseeing interdisciplinary involvement in care plan development. Keep current with regulatory changes, assure compliance with state/federal standards, and review regulatory reports, quality monitoring data, and clinical records. Communicate with physicians and discharge planners regarding admissions, transfers, and discharges. Provide training to facility staff, counsel employees on job performance, and settle disputes diplomatically. Perform direct care procedures when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • Experience as a DON in a skilled nursing facility
  • Must be able to lift 1-25 lbs
