Job Summary

Spearhead operational excellence for select multifamily properties by conducting frequent site visits, inspecting capital replacement plans, and ensuring strict compliance with safety standards and Fair Housing regulations. Collaborate with property managers to optimize daily operations, analyze monthly financial performance, and prepare owner reporting packages incorporating budgets and business plans. Deliver leadership to property management teams while overseeing acquisitions, dispositions, and resident retention programs to meet budget expectations. Manage recruitment and training for site employees, review leasing activity, and address escalated resident concerns to drive satisfaction. Maintain on-site presence across buildings, travel between office and portfolio locations, and communicate effectively with tenants, staff, and vendors.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in market rate and affordable housing
  • 5+ years of experience managing a portfolio of 2,000+ units across multiple properties
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 15 years of residential property management experience
  • 7 years in a senior management position
  • Proficiency in navigating computers and community management software, to include Microsoft Office include iLuvLeasing, On-Site, and Yardi
  • Experience managing luxury, market rent, and rent stabilized assets
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, manage operational matters, and solve problems
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of building operations and maintenance
  • Understanding of marketing trends, budgeting, and reporting, including strong financial skills with knowledge of GAAP
  • Work authorization

Desired Qualifications

  • Must be present on-site and be able to move throughout the buildings to address community-related matters, including exceptional communication skills to meet with tenants, staff, vendors and visitors
  • Ability to travel between the main office and site locations within the portfolio and be able to ascend and descend stairs, including comfortability with exposure to varying environmental climates and circumstances
  • Position may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed
