Job Summary
Director of Merchandising responsible for developing product strategies and seasonal line plans by category to drive financial goals, managing pre-season and in-season business through data analysis, leading a team of merchandisers for the Ann Mashburn and Sid Mashburn brands, informing delivery, cost and pricing strategy through historical and competitive data, implementing pricing architecture and managing markdowns to hit profitability targets, sharing weekly/seasonal business learnings with cross-functional teams, optimizing item productivity by controlling style and SKU counts, coordinating with inventory, marketing, sales, and design to maintain a cohesive brand strategy.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of merchandising experience in apparel with management experience
- Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret sales data, consumer insights, and market trends
- Deep knowledge of apparel retail trends, fabrications, and garment costing
- Experience leading teams and developing talent
