Job Summary
Director of MEP Engineering leads the MEP division with entrepreneurial freedom within an established firm. Core responsibilities include building and leading a high-performing MEP team, driving division strategy and growth, overseeing project execution and quality control, mentoring talent, managing profitability, and providing senior technical oversight on complex MEP design projects. The role encompasses business development activities such as developing growth strategies, building client relationships, leading proposal development, and participating in industry organizations. Ideal candidates have a PE license, a Mechanical/Electrical/Architectural Engineering degree, 10+ years of MEP experience, strong AutoCAD/BIM capabilities, and a proven track record in business development and leadership. Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineering license
- Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering degree
- 10+ years MEP engineering experience
- Expertise in mechanical and/or electrical design
- Comprehensive knowledge of MEP and fire protection systems
- Strong understanding of architectural and structural principles
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (BIM experience preferred)
- Proven business development track record
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
