Job Summary
Lead mechanical engineering teams on utility-scale gas power generation projects, providing technical and strategic leadership. Drive engineering decisions across collaborating groups (engineering, estimating, procurement, construction, project management), review designs and calculations, identify risks, and ensure safe, efficient delivery aligned with client expectations. Develop people and processes by mentoring engineers, establishing engineering standards, supporting project pursuits, and driving continuous improvement. Serve as a key technical resource, building and leading a high-performing team to support Blattner's Gas Power Generation business, and manage cross-functional activities from owner project definition through design, fabrication, and commissioning. Focus areas include mechanical systems, balance of plant infrastructure, rotating equipment, pumps, piping, heat exchangers, and power generation facilities, with emphasis on pursuing and executing engineering-related goals and ensuring alignment with client standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer license and/or in the process of completing
- 10+ years of applicable experience related to utility-scale gas power generation projects or mechanical engineering experience
- 7+ years of leadership experience
