Job Summary

Director of Marketing at JW Marriott Reston Station leads the coordination of integrated hospitality marketing efforts across local market teams, brand management, PR, media, and agencies; manages brand campaigns, influencer strategy, agency relationships, and performance analytics; oversees budget and partnerships, with a focus on luxury hotel marketing, content development, and cross-channel activation to drive revenue and brand presence. Requires 7-10 years in hospitality marketing (Marriott preferred), a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications/Business, proven experience with luxury brands and agency management, strong project management, and excellent communication and presentation skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 7-10 years in hospitality Marketing/eCommerce with preference for Marriott experience
  • Demonstrated experience with curating impactful marketing initiatives and supporting hotels, restaurants, and bars
  • Experience with Upscale/Luxury/Lifestyle brands
  • Experience managing vendors and agencies, including PR and Social Media
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Familiarity with B2B marketing and/or sales support, collateral and tradeshows/offers
  • Must be able to lead contact/manager for Property, Comstock, Crescent Marketing, Crescent F&B, Marriott Brand, Marriott Digital, TAA PR agency, Social Media agency
  • Content strategy and creation, copywriting, photoshoots and video shoots
  • Digital images, ads and messaging
  • VIP Tours/Events, influencer visits, media relations/tours, FAM trips, fact sheets
  • F&B activations and project management
  • Sales support/client site tour creative
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years luxury hotel marketing experience, Marriott preferred
  • Proven experience in hotel marketing, preferably within a luxury or high-end segment, preferably with Marriott brand experience
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition
  • Experienced in managing external creative, media, influencer or research agencies to ensure strategic alignment, high quality output and timely execution
  • Budget management skills to manage brand marketing funds, optimizing resources to maximize results to objectives
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrate ability to project manage complex initiatives from conception to successful execution
