Job Summary
Director of Marketing is responsible for leading the Company's marketing strategy, planning, execution, and performance review. This role is both strategic and hands-on, guiding high-level marketing direction while advancing campaigns, projects, and team priorities across e-commerce websites, catalogs, retail, Leaf Restaurant & Cigar Bar, and other customer touchpoints. The position supports customer acquisition, retention, repeat purchases, brand consistency, campaign execution, and revenue growth. Key duties include building and leading omnichannel marketing strategy, developing plans for customer acquisition/retention/loyalty/reactivation, coordinating with executive leadership on budgets and performance expectations, supervising brand, creative, content, email, SMS, social, video, merchandising, and other functions, overseeing digital marketing across channels (email, SMS, SEO, AEO/GEO, affiliate, loyalty, reviews), partnering with IT and analytics for website promotions and experiments, managing end-to-end campaign planning and post-campaign reviews, ensuring accurate and compliant customer communications, and leading a team with clear accountability and development goals. Skills emphasize brand strategy, lifecycle marketing, data-driven decision making, project leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Adobe Creative Cloud, Magento/Adobe Commerce, GA4, DOMO, and related platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field preferred
- 8 to 10 years of marketing experience required
- At least 3 years of marketing leadership experience required
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, catalog, consumer goods, lifestyle brands, hospitality, or luxury products preferred
- Experience in omnichannel campaigns across email, SMS, SEO, AEO/GEO, social media, print, catalog, retail, web channels, and other customer-facing channels
- Experience leading a small team while staying hands-on with key projects and deadlines
- Experience working with executive leadership, vendors, creative teams, technical teams, and cross-functional business partners
