Job Summary
Develop and execute an integrated marketing and brand strategy aligned with the school's mission, enrollment goals, and fundraising objectives. Create campaigns and materials supporting student recruitment, retention, donor stewardship, and major institutional initiatives. Oversee digital, creative, and communications channels including the website, social media, email, print, and video to maintain consistent messaging. Share compelling stories about students, faculty, and Jewish life while strengthening relationships with families, donors, and the broader community. Manage communications budgets, vendors, and analytics to ensure projects remain accurate, efficient, and on schedule. Assist senior leadership with internal communications, crisis messaging, and public statements.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Orthodox Jewish practices, culture and values
- Jewish day school education
- Pittsburgh Jewish community
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, English, business, or a related field
- Professional experience in marketing, communications, branding, public relations, advancement communications, or a related field
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, storytelling, project management, and strategic communications skills
- Experience with websites, email marketing, social media, print materials, multimedia content, and integrated campaigns
- Excellent judgment, discretion, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Independent school, Jewish communal, nonprofit, educational, or other mission-driven experience
