Job Summary
Director of Marketing and Business Development in Irvine, CA leading a strategic marketing and BD program for the AEC/professional services practice. Responsible for shaping growth strategy, expanding market share, enhancing brand visibility, and deepening client relationships. Oversees marketing oversight (brand strategy, digital content, thought leadership, collateral, PR), proposal and interview strategy, and BD activities from lead generation to opportunity pursuit. Leads a cross-functional team, collaborates with design teams to ensure a seamless client experience, tracks pipeline and performance metrics, and represents the firm at events to elevate visibility and secure high-value opportunities. Requires an established client/network, strong leadership and presentation skills, CRM proficiency, and deep understanding of project lifecycles and architectural services.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in marketing, business development, or client strategy within the AEC or professional services industries
- Proven success in securing large-scale, high-value projects
- Established network of clients, consultants, and industry partners
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of architectural services, client dynamics, and project lifecycles
- Proficient in CRM platforms, proposal management tools, and digital marketing best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Architecture, Business, or related field (Master’s is a plus)
