Job Summary

Lead marine construction and dredging operations by overseeing project execution, planning, and completion while managing budgets, schedules, and equipment utilization. Direct operational strategies, resource allocation, and risk mitigation to ensure safe, efficient project delivery and support business growth. Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and labor representatives to drive contract performance and compliance. Supervise project managers, field operations, and administrative staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Prepare performance reports for leadership and negotiate contract modifications as needed. Mon–Fri, 40 hours with overtime as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Marine Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in marine construction, dredging, maritime operations, heavy civil construction, or related industries
  • Five (5) years of leadership experience overseeing projects, operations, personnel, and operational resources
  • Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, schedules, equipment resources, and operational priorities simultaneously
  • Knowledge of marine construction techniques, dredging methodologies, and industry best practices
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Knowledge of maritime, environmental, and safety regulations applicable to marine construction and dredging operations
  • Strong leadership, financial management, contract administration, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing federal government construction or dredging contracts
  • Experience operating in remote, maritime, or Alaska-based environments
  • Experience and knowledge of Alaska Native cultures
