Job Summary
Conduct regular inspections of the facility for safety, upkeep, appearance, and equipment performance while overseeing all maintenance and repair work, including plumbing, electrical, and painting. Supervise and assign maintenance staff responsibilities and schedules, ensuring all contracted services are completed in a timely fashion and that work adheres to State/Federal and OSHA standards. Coordinate department operations, manage budgets, and monitor expenditures while maintaining records of repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties, and DOH logs. Perform routine repairs and ensure compliance with current regulations, with the ability to be on call for emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of nursing home experience and/or training
- 5 years experience in HVAC, plumbing, electric, carpentry & general maintenance
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to multi-task / stay on task & maintain focus in stressful situations
- Evidence of solid leadership and supervision skills
- Must have ability to be 'on call' for emergency situations
