Job Summary
Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical substations, high voltage breakers, transformers, and traction power systems including overhead catenary and underground cable networks. Develop detailed maintenance procedures, performance standards, and annual forecasts for infrastructure, fixed plant, and equipment. Supervise Assistant Directors and Maintenance Managers while managing construction programs, special projects, and the Electronics Lab. Ensure safe working conditions, control attendance and injury rates, and resolve employee complaints in accordance with labor relations practices. Comply with all safety and security policies and report hazards affecting operations.
Required Qualifications
- Only candidates who are authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-7 years of relevant technical (maintenance, production, engineering or design) experience
- minimum of four (4) years supervisory experience
- In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a high school diploma and nine years' experience
- Appropriate Technical/Safety Certification/Qualifications/Licenses, as required by SEPTA, State, Federal regulations
- Valid Driver's License
- CDL
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing Traction Power systems or comparable electrical infrastructure systems
