Job Summary
Plan, direct, and supervise the maintenance program for assigned facilities, overseeing repairs for heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and communication systems while managing grounds, parking lots, and the power plant. Schedule maintenance, replacements, and new installations; requisition supplies and maintain inventory records using the TELS system. Orient, instruct, and supervise maintenance personnel, evaluate work performance, and coordinate department functions to avoid interrupting resident care. Ensure life safety compliance, observe sanitation and infection control precautions, and maintain department costs within budget parameters. Submit monthly reports to administration, participate in quality assurance programs, and lead disaster drills as requested.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in related areas of: physical plant, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or HVAC systems maintenance
- Demonstrated supervisory experience to include hiring, training, discharging, overseeing, scheduling departmental staff
- Extensive knowledge of Life Safety Codes and NFPA required
- Valid, current driver license in good standing
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
Desired Qualifications
- experience with USTs preferred
- Familiarity with using computer programs to place orders, manage inventory, etc.
