Job Summary

Director of Maintenance responsible for overseeing all aircraft maintenance operations, ensuring FAA regulatory compliance, and maintaining safety, quality, and operational efficiency. Leads maintenance teams, coordinates with operations/engineering/leadership, develops and manages maintenance programs and schedules, supervises personnel (hiring/training/performance), maintains documentation, manages costs and budgets, ensures airworthiness, and serves as primary liaison with FAA/regulatory authorities. Emphasizes leadership, safety culture, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership or management role
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (Part 91, 135, or 121 as applicable)
  • Experience managing aircraft maintenance programs and teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication with executive leadership and regulatory authorities
