Director of Maintenance

The Maintenance Director leads maintenance operations at a healthcare center, plans and administers the center's maintenance budget, schedules preventive maintenance, oversees staff, supervises work, and ensures compliance with OSHA, NFPA, OBRA, EPA, JCAHO, and state regulations to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment for residents. Responsibilities include hiring and directing staff, conducting environmental rounds, administering outsourced maintenance contracts when needed, tracking equipment and building repairs, participating in safety and hazardous materials committees, and aligning maintenance activities with fiscal objectives and center administration.
