Job Summary
Coordinate and plan all Environmental Services functions to ensure efficient hotel operations with minimal supervision. Monitor, schedule, and complete maintenance duties to keep the property clean, safe, and attractive, while performing hands-on repairs as needed. Lead emergency response efforts for equipment breakdowns and resolve contractor issues through negotiation. Supervise staff by interviewing, hiring, training, and directing work, while conducting daily walk-around inspections to verify timely completion. Manage monthly expenditures against budget constraints and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and policies. Respond promptly to guest and vendor requests with empathy and respect, maintaining a secure environment free of hazards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two to four years related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Knowledge of word processing software
- Knowledge of inventory software
- Knowledge of payroll systems
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
