Job Summary
Director of Logistics who leads and directs all logistics functions in the transportation department for a high-volume beverage distributor. Responsible for managing the complete delivery fleet’s maintenance program, developing a supervisory team, ensuring DOT and CMV criteria compliance, budgeting the Transportation Department, collaborating on go-to-market delivery strategies, and enforcing safety and policy adherence. Focused on coordinating transportation activities, safeguarding regulatory compliance, driving efficiency, and coaching logistics managers/supervisors to improve performance. Familiarity with DOT certifications, safety training, vehicle registration/compliance, and advanced MS Office usage is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 5 years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
- Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license and ability to obtain and maintain auto-liability insurance in accordance with State laws
- Strong knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
