Job Summary
Director of Logistics at MacLean Power Systems leads and directs the logistics functions for the company, overseeing distribution operations and network transportation, managing internal and 3PL resources, and ensuring logistics performance meets external customer expectations and internal financial goals. Responsibilities include managing all 3PL relationships, coordinating network transportation, transportation planning, KPI measurement and continuous improvement programs, aligning with Plants, Sales, Customer Service and IT, establishing policies for transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, assessing performance and risk, serving as escalation point for logistics issues, and handling personnel actions. The role contributes to strategic planning for the department, ensuring compliance with Safety, Environment, and Quality policies, and performing other duties as assigned. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 10 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience with transportation networks; experience with 3PL or carrier providers is desirable. The position emphasizes strong leadership, communication, analytical abilities, and detail-oriented, multi-tasking capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or engineering discipline (or related field)
- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the supply chain discipline, with significant background managing complex transportation networks (warehousing and transportation)
- Prior experience working for a 3PL or transportation provider (carrier) is desirable
