Director of Logistics

Job Summary
Directs the enterprise logistics strategy for inbound, outbound, intercompany, and distribution movements across multiple locations in the US and Canada. Leads freight procurement, carrier management, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, finance, sales, customer service, procurement, and plant leadership to standardize processes, improve service levels, and optimize total delivered cost. Oversees governance for TMS strategy, carrier routing guides, KPIs, and standard operating procedures; drives cost reduction initiatives and budgeting/forecasting for freight. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in logistics with multi-site leadership; strong track record in transforming logistics operations and achieving performance targets across transportation modes and cross-border shipping. Mastery of cross-functional leadership, data-driven decision making, and executive communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive logistics, transportation, supply chain, or distribution experience, including significant leadership responsibility in a multi-site environment
- Strong experience in carrier management, freight procurement, contract negotiation, and performance management across multiple transportation modes
- Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into scalable logistics processes, policies, metrics, and operating standards across multiple facilities
- Executive-level communication, leadership, and change management skills, with the ability to build alignment, develop talent, and drive results in a complex organization
