Job Summary
Director of Logistics responsible for strategic leadership and operational direction across regional trucking/fleet operations, overseeing DOT compliance, budgeting and P&L management, and driving growth initiatives. Leads Logistics Managers and Drivers, ensures safe, efficient, and reliable performance, and negotiates with third-party logistics providers and vendors. Requires Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of leadership in logistics/transportation with direct trucking fleet management, plus strong financial, regulatory, and customer-relations skills. The role involves developing regional growth plans, overseeing daily trucking operations, building a culture of accountability and safety, maintaining fleet assets per DOT standards, managing budgets and forecasts, and expanding the transportation service offerings across assigned markets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in logistics or transportation with direct trucking fleet management experience
- Proven track record of managing P&L and delivering measurable financial results
- Strong knowledge of DOT requirements, safety standards, and fleet compliance
