Job Summary

Lead the development and execution of the 6th–12th grade literacy strategy across the network, ensuring alignment in curriculum, assessment, intervention, and professional learning systems. Oversee implementation fidelity of adopted programs including SpringBoard, StudySync, and Language Live while promoting disciplinary literacy embedded in ELA, science, and social studies. Analyze network and campus data from DC CAPE, MAP, PSAT, and SAT to identify support needs and drive data-informed cycles for instruction adjustment. Collaborate with Academy Directors to align coaching, design differentiated professional development for adolescent literacy, and guide Tier II and III interventions. Manage literacy-related budgets and coordinate resource allocation based on school-level needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in secondary literacy instruction, coaching, or school leadership
  • Strong knowledge of adolescent literacy and evidence based instructional practices
  • Experience with high quality instructional materials and curriculum implementation
  • Experience analyzing and using assessment data such as MAP, PSAT, SAT, or similar tools
  • Demonstrated ability to lead adult learning and manage teams

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in education, literacy, or related field
  • Experience working in urban schools and with diverse student populations
