Job Summary
Director of Life Enrichment leads a comprehensive program across the Seven Dimensions of Wellness, develops and maintains activity calendars reflecting patient needs (individual, large, and small group activities), coordinates a volunteer program with screening, orientation, training, supervision and evaluation, participates in the Interdisciplinary team and Care Plan process, collaborates with other departments to deliver patient-centered activities, and promotes community engagement while ensuring compliance with safety, budget and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified licensed or certified recreation specialist
- GHCA Activity Director State Approved 36-Hour Certification Course
- Minimum two years’ experience in a social or recreation program within last five years
- Recommended one year full-time in a Life Enrichment program within a healthcare setting
- Ability to obtain certification within first year of employment
