Job Summary
Director of Life Enrichment leading a comprehensive activities program for senior residents. Responsible for supervising the Life Enrichment Department and volunteers, planning and coordinating wellness-focused programming across eight dimensions (emotional, environmental, health services, intellectual, physical, social, spiritual, vocational), creating annual plans and budgets, coordinating events and education for staff and residents, and ensuring alignment with resident Care Plans and wellness initiatives. Requires overseeing staff, volunteers, program training, volunteer engagement, transportation coordination, and the development of memory-care activities, partnerships with community organizations, and communication of program outcomes. Must be able to supervise multiple staff, manage budgets, develop calendars, and operate within regulatory and policy guidelines. Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, and daily use of technology (iPads, tablets, digital cameras) and social media is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in recreational activities/life enrichment or the equivalent of working experience in the field
- Three years' working experience in activities/life enrichment with seniors
- Two years' experience working with memory care residents, if applicable to community
- Two-year supervisory experience preferred
