Job Summary
Director of Leadership Giving responsible for driving revenue for the McDonogh Fund through soliciting leadership gifts and overseeing reunion gift programs (25th, 30th, 35th, and 40th) and the Senior Family Gift Effort. Serves as a frontline fundraiser with a portfolio of annual giving prospects; duties include solicitation, donor stewardship, volunteer recruitment/management, marketing, and event management. Essential functions include managing committees for reunion gift efforts, coordinating with committees to set goals, training and supporting volunteer fundraisers, managing a portfolio of annual fund prospects, applying Moves Management, tracking activities in Raiser's Edge NXT, creating mailed and emailed appeals, supporting drives and challenges, and planning stewardship events with the Senior Director of Engagement. Requires a college degree and 3-5 years of fundraising experience; additional experience with Raiser's Edge preferred. Evening/weekend hours and occasional travel may be required. Located in Owings Mills, MD.
Required Qualifications
- College degree
- 3-5 years professional fundraising experience
- Experience with fundraising databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to recruit, train, and manage volunteers
- Experience planning and executing stewardship events
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
