Job Summary
Lead labor management initiatives across all Ohio skilled nursing facilities by establishing standards, benchmarks, and accountability measures. Partner with regional and facility leadership to develop action plans that reduce agency usage, overtime, and turnover while ensuring compliance with CMS staffing and Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) requirements. Analyze key metrics including Hours Per Patient Day, labor cost, and staffing levels to improve workforce efficiency and financial outcomes. Conduct audits, monitor PBJ submissions, and educate operational leaders on staffing measures and Five-Star implications. Facilitate regular labor review meetings and present performance results to executive leadership. Travel 50%–75% throughout Ohio to support on-site assessments and attend organizational events.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of leadership experience in skilled nursing facility operations, labor management, and workforce management
- Extensive experience managing labor performance within nursing homes or post-acute care settings
- Demonstrated expertise in Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) reporting and CMS staffing requirements
- Strong understanding of HPPD management, staffing models, labor budgeting, and workforce analytics
- Experience supporting multiple nursing home locations at a regional or corporate level
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and labor management reporting systems
- Experience leading labor reduction and workforce stabilization initiatives in skilled nursing settings
- Ability to travel between facilities and attend meetings throughout Ohio as needed
- Estimated travel: 50%–75%, depending on organizational needs and facility support requirements
- Must maintain a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation
