Job Summary
Director of the Interprofessional Simulation and Skills Hub at MSU Denver leads and oversees simulation-based learning across the College of Health and Human Sciences, partnering with the Nursing Simulation Coordinator and program leadership to design, implement, and evaluate simulation activities for undergraduate and graduate programs. Responsibilities include teaching about 30% of the role, developing and evaluating simulation scenarios and tools, providing supervision and mentorship, overseeing hub resources and accreditation activities, coordinating interprofessional simulation initiatives, supporting research and grant activities, and managing operations, finances, and human resources. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration across disciplines, budget oversight, accreditation readiness (CCNE/ACEN), and advancement of patient care through innovative simulation-based education. The position is full-time, with a hybrid schedule (primarily in-person on campus with some remote opportunities) and may require evenings and weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nursing, healthcare, education, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution
- Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certificate, or ability to obtain within two (2) years of hire
- Active, unrestricted Colorado RN license, multistate license through the Nurse Licensure Compact, or eligibility for Colorado licensure by endorsement at the time of hire
- Experience leading or coordinating healthcare simulation programs in an academic, hospital, or healthcare education setting, including working with diverse learners
- Minimum of five years of clinical practice experience as a registered nurse
