Job Summary
Directs and coordinates intake and assessment processes for psychiatric admissions, oversees discharge planning support, coordinates physician assessments and pre-certifications, ensures admissions paperwork and documentation, and leads a team including the A&R Coordinator; requires a Master's-level psychiatric NP or related master's, 2+ years intake/assessment experience in acute psychiatric settings with supervisory experience; licensed eligible in MA; strong DSM and Mental Status Exam knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Psychiatric Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Master’s Degree in a human field
- Experience: Two or more years’ experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting with supervisory experience
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric hospital setting including customer contact
- Licensure: Licensed eligible in the State of Massachusetts
- Knowledge of DSM and Mental Status Exam
- A working knowledge of Addiction and Recovery field
