Job Summary
The Director of Instructional Systems (DOIS) leads design and rollout of instructional data systems across KIPP Texas schools, translating academic priorities into workflows, templates, and expectations; builds and refines data dashboards, assessment trackers, progress-monitoring tools, and reporting structures to enable school leaders to identify trends, gaps, and root causes; collaborates with MDIS and School Leadership Teams to ensure systems are usable, consistent, and aligned with instructional priorities; supports implementation of data-driven instruction and professional development to improve teaching and student outcomes; requires strong systems thinking, data tooling, and project-management skills, plus experience in education and working with school leaders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s preferred
- Minimum 4 years of experience in education, including instructional leadership, data, or systems-related roles
- Previous principal experience highly preferred
- Experience with data-driven instruction, assessment design, and progress monitoring systems
- Demonstrated ability to build or implement systems that impact student outcomes
- Experience working with or supporting school leaders or instructional teams
