Job Summary
The DOIS is responsible for driving consistent, high-quality implementation of instructional data systems across an assigned portfolio of KIPP Texas schools, including leading design/build of data systems (assessment trackers, progress monitoring tools, dashboards) and implementing aligned support structures (CTMs, practice clinics, professional development) to enable School Leadership Teams to act on data and improve instruction. Responsibilities include translating academic priorities into workflows and templates, building scalable reporting structures, rolling out systems across regions, coaching school leadership to execute instructional routines, monitoring implementation for accuracy and impact, and refining tools to ensure usability and instructional rigor. Key skills include systems thinking, data analysis, instructional design, project management, collaboration across teams, and a strong focus on improving student outcomes. A Bachelor’s is required (Master’s preferred); minimum 4 years in education with leadership/data/system experience is expected, along with ability to work with school leaders and translate data into actionable improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
- Minimum 4 years of experience in education, including instructional leadership, data, or systems-related roles. Previous principal experience highly preferred.
- Experience with data-driven instruction, assessment design, and progress monitoring systems
- Demonstrated ability to build or implement systems that impact student outcomes
- Experience working with or supporting school leaders or instructional teams
