Director of Institutional Giving

Job Summary
Develop and execute a comprehensive institutional giving strategy to manage a $3–4 million annual portfolio of foundation, corporate, and government funders. Identify, cultivate, and solicit prospective donors while leading grant proposal development, budget creation, and case statement preparation. Monitor philanthropic trends to secure transformational investments and ensure timely submission of all funder deliverables and reports. Oversee donor stewardship, recognition activities, and accurate CRM data maintenance within Raiser's Edge. Collaborate with executive leadership, program staff, and the Board to align fundraising goals with organizational priorities. Prepare pipeline updates and progress reports for senior leadership and the Board. Occasional evening and weekend attendance at donor events is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional fundraising experience
- Five or more years of progressively responsible fundraising experience
- demonstrated record of securing institutional funding
- Experience managing foundation, corporate, and/or government grants from cultivation through stewardship
- Strong grant writing, proposal development, editing, and presentation skills
- Experience developing program budgets and funding proposals
- Knowledge of local, regional, and national philanthropic communities and institutional funding sources
- Experience using donor CRM systems such as Raiser's Edge or similar fundraising databases
- Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
- Occasional evening and weekend attendance at donor events, meetings, and organizational functions
Desired Qualifications
- CFRE certification is a plus
