Director of Infrastructure Engineering, Network Infrastructure Security

Job Summary
Direct the Infrastructure Engineering function within JPMorganChase’s Infrastructure Platforms, owning staffing, budgets, and P&L while driving complex projects and ensuring governance, compliance, risk, and security. Lead cross-functional teams of engineers and team leads, mentor junior staff, and champion diversity and inclusion. Leverage deep expertise in network infrastructure technologies (DNS, load balancing, routing, switching, WAN, firewalls, proxies) and security concepts (Zero-Trust, micro-segmentation, SASE, CDN). Guide architecture, design, and lifecycle management of hardware and infrastructure, with experience in cloud (AWS) and DevOps and network automation to deliver against SLAs and business requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts
- 7+ years applied experience
- Very good understanding in multiple network infrastructure technologies and protocols including Global and Local load balancing, DNS, network routing, switching, WAN, firewalls and proxies
- Experience in Network Architecture & Engineering, Design, Hardware Architecture, Hardware Benchmarking, Infrastructure life-cycle management
- Knowledge of Zero-Trust, Micro-segmentation, SASE architectures & CDN
- Experience managing cross-functional teams of infrastructure engineers
- Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
- Exposure to managing budgets
- Hardware aligned to infrastructure engineering
- Knowledge of public cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS) and cloud technologies
- Understanding of DevOps principles and network automation solutions
