Job Summary
Collaborate with the German parent company to align IT strategies with U.S. requirements and oversee global IT standards and policies. Provide guidance to the SAP IT Applications support team, manage project allocation, and develop comprehensive IT communication strategies. Analyze complex business challenges to implement technical solutions, drive digitalization initiatives, and ensure information system integrity through robust internal controls and disaster recovery plans. Oversee IT budget planning and expenditure control while maintaining flexibility to accommodate internal and external customer schedules. Travel up to 15% of the time, including international assignments, to support rapid expansion and modernization efforts across the sixth regional office.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of ten years' experience leading IT strategy and operations, or equivalent education and experience
- Proficiency in assessing current systems and identifying strategic digital improvement opportunities
- Capable of prioritizing initiatives and leading implementation efforts
- Proven IT experience within large organizations and collaborating with global teams
- Ability to comprehend global business needs while scrutinizing recommendations from the German parent company
- Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time
- International travel required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience preferred with ERP systems, specifically SAP
- Experience with manufacturing large capital equipment, particularly packaging or processing machinery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to define problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and frameworks
