Job Summary
Direct Pursuit’s donor strategy and operations for individual giving, focusing on high-net-worth individuals and major gifts. Own the HNWI portfolio and major gifts pipeline, design giving structures and principal-gift frameworks, identify and cultivate prospects, perform 1:1 outreach, and create cultivation moments (salons, dinners, site visits, intimate convenings) to secure 5-, 6-, and 7-figure commitments. Lead the AI Jobs Institute (AIJI) individual giving track within an 8-month, $45M campaign, including naming opportunities and giving tiers, and oversee Bash, Pursuit’s flagship annual gala, end-to-end. Collaborate with the CEO and Chief Development Officer on top relationships and campaign closes; develop donor materials, briefings, and stewardship plans. Requires 5–6 years of fundraising experience with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and a proven ability to close multi-million-dollar gifts. Location: New York City, NY (3 days/week in office); Structure: Full-time or 4-day-a-week contract; Compensation: $140,000–$160,000 base plus bonus.
Required Qualifications
- 5–6 years of fundraising experience with a focus on high-net-worth individual giving and major gifts
- Demonstrated track record of closing 6- and 7-figure individual gifts
- Existing HNWI relationships you can bring to the work, plus the discipline to build new ones quickly
- Comfortable owning a portfolio independently and partnering with a CEO and CDO on top relationships
- Strong written and verbal communicator — equally fluent in donor-facing materials, internal strategy memos, and event execution
