Director of Individual Giving - American Kidney Fund (AKF)

Director of Individual Giving leading AKF’s mid-level donor program, supervising the Associate Director, and expanding the Circle of Champions through data-driven, multi-channel campaigns that deepen donor engagement and transition supporters toward higher levels of giving. Collaborate with the Senior Director of Individual Giving, Major Gifts, Planned Giving, and Marketing to design and execute renewals, stewardship, and engagement tactics; steward donor relationships, manage budgets, and oversee workplace giving and partnerships. Role emphasizes leadership, donor pipeline development, and strategic planning with a mix of hands-on donor outreach and team management; requires 6-8 years fundraising experience, 2-3 years supervisory experience, and a bachelor’s degree preferred. Hybrid schedule with about 1 day per week in the North Bethesda, MD office and travel less than 5% expected; location coverage includes Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
