Job Summary
Director of Identity & Access Management (IAM) responsible for strategic leadership, governance, and operational oversight of identity and access services across NOR and affiliated organizations. Leads IAM strategy, governance frameworks, and SOPs; manages identity lifecycle (Joiner/Mover/Leaver) for employees, contractors, vendors, and third parties; drives RBAC and PAM implementations for high-risk systems (EHR/EMR, financial, infrastructure); oversees IAM platforms (Active Directory, Azure AD, Entra ID; SSO; MFA; Federation) and integrations; ensures HIPAA/HITECH/SOX compliance, audits, access reviews, and risk management; collaborates with IT Security, Compliance, HR, Clinical Informatics, Legal; manages vendors, SLAs, and executive communications; requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and experience in healthcare or large enterprises.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Master's degree preferred but not required
- 8–12+ years of progressive IT experience
- 5+ years in IAM leadership or senior IAM architecture roles
- Strong experience in healthcare, regulated industries, or large enterprises
- Proven experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance
- Deep knowledge of IAM concepts and frameworks
- Hands-on understanding of Active Directory / Azure AD, SSO, MFA, Federation
- RBAC and privilege access controls
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR access models (Allscripts, Cerner, Meditech, etc.)
- Security or IAM certifications (CISSP, CISM, IAM-related)
- Soft Skills: leadership, cross-functional collaboration, process-driven, detail-oriented
