Job Summary
Director of HyService Canada leads the Hydro Service business in Canada with full P&L responsibility, directing direct and indirect teams within a matrix organization. Responsibilities include driving order intake, pipeline management, year-over-year growth in orders and operating profit, expanding the service footprint across multiple hubs in Canada, building strategic partnerships, exploring new business models, and collaborating with global peers on growth initiatives. The role requires leveraging a strong engineering foundation (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering) with General Management skills; an MBA is advantageous. The candidate should have 10+ years in Sales/Project Management in the Energy sector, 4+ years of leadership in Service, and be capable of significant travel within Canada with occasional visits to the US and Europe. Proficiency in English is required, with French being advantageous. The posting notes flexibility in working arrangements and an international, inclusive environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Industrial Engineering (B.S. or equivalent)
- Trained in General Management skills
- MBA from a top business school is of advantage
- More than 10 years of experience in Sales and Project Management in Energy Sector
- 4+ years Leadership experience in Service business in Energy Sector
- Willingness to travel within Canada and occasional travel to US and Europe
- Strong leadership, team-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proven track record in delivering results and driving growth
- Business fluency in English; French language knowledge is an advantage
- Experience with P&L management and contracts in energy sector
- International and intercultural experience
