Job Summary
Lead and develop efforts related to Company Culture & Values while overseeing staffing, recruitment, workforce development, team member relations, training, leadership development, HR systems, processes, and SOPs. Collaborate with Community Relations to plan and execute community and team member events, ensuring compliance and reporting for all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hiring, wage & hour payments, benefits, and EEOC standards. Manage compensation reviews, Fair Labor Standards Act practices, unemployment matters, and the Wardrobe function including budget, inventory, and uniform distribution. Establish clear structures, assignments, and priorities for departmental staff. This executive-level role drives HR strategy for the permanent property opening scheduled for December 2027 and manages an existing temporary facility within a 24/7 environment.
Required Qualifications
- Eight (8) to Ten (10) years' experience in all aspects of human resources
- Minimum of three (3) years at the director/sr. manager level managing a professional level staff
- Generalist experience inclusive of staffing/recruitment, employee relations and training and development
- Ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by the Virginia Lottery or any other applicable regulatory entity
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the gaming, hospitality, retail or entertainment industry
- Four (4)-year degree in business or related field
- Equivalent work experience (in lieu of degree)
- Graduate degree
- SPHR
- Knowledge of Alcohol Beverage Control laws
