Job Summary
Senior HR leader responsible for directing HR, risk management, and safety functions at a public-sector district. Leads recruitment, employee relations, compensation/benefits, workers’ compensation, insurance programs, claims management, regulatory compliance, and safety culture. Manages a team of five and partners with the executive team to align workforce strategy with organizational goals, modernize practices, and uphold a compassionate, family-oriented culture. Requires proven change-management and technology-implementation capabilities in a public agency context.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources Management, Employee Relations, Industrial Psychology, or a related field (a master’s degree is desirable)
- six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in the development and administration of human resource programs and benefits administration
- two (2) years of program management and supervisory experience
- experience with public agency operations; desirable experience within a special district, city, or county
- experience with HRIS or talent management software integrations (NeoGov or similar platforms) is preferred
