Job Summary
Lead all Human Resources operations and serve as the organization's primary HR subject matter expert. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws by developing and maintaining employee handbooks, policies, and compliance programs. Manage leave administration, workplace investigations, risk management, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, HRIS, payroll, and employee records. Partner with leadership on workforce planning, compensation benchmarking, organizational development, and performance management coaching. Develop employee engagement, retention, and culture initiatives while tracking workforce metrics and assisting with budgeting and reporting. This on-site leadership role in Glastonbury, Connecticut, offers competitive compensation with long-term growth potential for a candidate with 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years leading initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- 2+ years of HR leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
- Experience handling employee relations and workplace investigations
- HRIS experience required
Desired Qualifications
- iSolved experience is a plus
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certifications are preferred
- Professional services or law firm experience is strongly preferred
- After successfully completing six months of employment, you'll have the flexibility to work one hybrid day per week
